Andrew Lowrey | President | Precise Home Management

Motivated by his passion for what he does for a living, Andrew Lowrey, a formally trained British butler, has dedicated his career to providing top-level domestic staffing services for a wide range of high-profile clientele. Since 1998, he has been the founder and president at Precise Home Management, which brings “a modern twist to traditional domestic staffing” and strives to build long-lasting relationships with its clients, including the most prestigious households and estates around the globe. Under his leadership and supervision, the business has maintained excellence in hospitality, staffing, consulting, and residence management for decades. He takes particular care in providing ample training to his robust staff in preparation prior to working with high-net-worth individuals; likewise, he also trains clients and sets the level of expectation for both parties, which he considers an essential key to success. He has placed butlers, chefs, and housekeepers to high-net worth individuals around the world.

A native Englishman, Mr. Lowrey first entered his industry at 16 years old when he began working at a four-star hotel in Cambridge, after which he gained further experience on various cruise ships for several years. Upon returning to England, he went into business for himself by opening a tea room called Tea for Two, where he handled everything from cooking to baking to all managerial responsibilities for years. He subsequently relocated to Sydney Australia and attended the Ivor Spencer International School for Butlers, graduating with a degree in 1991. He has accrued experience as a butler and estate manager for clients in luxurious homes, on private yachts, and several other locations, and upon moving to the United States, served in this capacity for one of Maryland’s most prominent families in a private residence. When it came time to seek new employment, he found that only a few agencies grasped what a butler provided, which catapulted him to start Precise Home Management.

In addition to his primary roles within the business, Mr. Lowrey is often called upon to share his expertise as a butler and a provider of service in the modern day. He has been featured in numerous publications like Forbes, People, Town & Country, Washingtonian, Style, Millionaire, and the New York Times, as well as appeared on ABC Evening News, UPN’s “Life & Style,” NBC’s “Living It Up with Ali & Jack” and “The Family,” and Channel 4 UK’s “Can’t Get the Staff,” among others. As a further testament to his success in the field, Precise Home Management earned the distinction of Best Agency of the Year by the Domestic Estate Managers Association in 2013.

Looking ahead to the future, he aspires to open a school for training housekeepers, especially those who may only hold high school diplomas; he understands the potential in people who have not been given certain opportunities. Under his expert tutelage, he believes these housekeepers will acquire invaluable skill sets that will make them highly sought after in the industry. Furthermore, Mr. Lowrey strives to build toward an eventual career progression for his students from housekeeper to house and estate manager, which he hopes will be a testament to the program. Upon retiring, too, he would like to pass his business down to somebody.
